Côte Chalonnaise is a wine sub-region in Burgundy, France, located south of the Côte d'Or between Chagny and Montagny. Known for producing elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at more accessible prices than its northern neighbours, the region encompasses five main village appellations: Rully, Mercurey, Givry, Montagny and Bouzeron. The terroir combines limestone and clay soils with a slightly warmer climate than the Côte d'Or, creating wines of notable freshness and purity that reflect classic Burgundian winemaking traditions.
